Te^'t 2006 (Lunar New Year)

According to astrologists, the year of the Dog will bring increased social awareness and interest in society's less powerful members. A widespread sentiment of generosity and selflessness will prevail. In general, we will all be imbued with the Dog's keen sense of right and wrong. If you've ever known anyone born in year of the Dog, you will know this is true!
Our Te^'t was spent in the usual fashion, we wake up early, get all dressed up in ao dai's, have a breakfast of banh chung and then get ready for li` xi`! Afterwards we take the hour and a half trek to our Buddhist temple somewhere in northern Jersey. I always look forward to eating fried banh chung on the morning of Tet, nothing yummier.
